Germany has lifted the travel ban for travellers of 11 Third-Countries –but  Leaves  Algeria, Morocco, Rwanda & Serbia out

Travellers from eleven third world countries will be eligible to enter into Germany from 2 July 2020. 

This decision was made by the German Federal Cabinet on the 01 July 2020, to lift the travel restrictions of residents of 15 third world countries. 

But the Germany authorities have decided to only open borders for 11 of these countries namely:
 1.Australia 
2.Canada 
3.China 
4.Georgia 
5.Japan 
6.Montenegro 
7.New Zealand
 8.South Korea 
9.Thailand
 10.Tunisia 
11.Uruguay

But the residents for China, Japan and South Korea will only be allowed to travel to Germany when they grant German residents to enter into their countries.

 From 02 July 2020, these 11 countries will be allowed to travel in Germany without any travel restrictions. 

The other 4 countries have been left out for now due to “safe” but they will need to undergo evaluations to be added to the list these countries are Algeria, Morocco, Rwanda and Serbia. 

With regards to the lift of the travel ban for the 11 countries and the rest of countries of the world other categories have been given to them to be able to enter Germany starting from the 2 July and they are:

  • * German nationals, third-country nationals with an existing right of residence in Germany
  • * Health care personal
  • * Foreign nationals with highly qualified employees 
  • * Transport of goods and other personnel
  • * Agricultural workers
  • * Seafarers
  • * International students
  • * Family reunification
